![]() ![]() Overall, I adored this book and thought it was a perfect feelgood book for summer holidays. The cover of the book is adorable with the pink filter over the picture of Paris and the chalk effect heart in the corner. As a narrator, Anna is slightly grating in her constant inner monologue but overall she is an interesting female lead. As a pair they don't have many scenes together but the ones they do share are funny and heartfelt. Clair, an American boy with a British accent who is incredibly sweet and endearing. Other characters I liked were Rashmi and Anna. Anna and the French Kiss tells the story of Anna Oliphant, who is attending an American boarding school in Paris for her senior year of high school. I love though the reality that sometimes you make mistakes and do stupid things but love can prevail. ![]() While I don't always agree with the way he deals with his problems in the book, I'm still glad of the way the book ended for him. Clair from Stephanie Perkins’ Anna and the French Kiss: This one is so hard because their relationship truly starts off in a way I don’t like but I couldn’t help love the two of them together before they got together. ![]() He was funny, charming and described as brilliantly good-looking. That constant throughout the book also helped it to stay quite relaxed because it focused in depth on one major theme. Relationships were a prominent theme and not just the romantic ones, but also relationships with fathers, mothers and parents, as well as sibling relationships and friendship driven ones. ![]()
